Lisbon, Portugal

Warning: Travel log with lots of pictures.

Dan had a conference in Lisbon, so I joined him for the first few days of his trip for our annual anniversary getaway.  We dropped the kids off at the Bunnells, (thank you Bunnells!!!) and flew to Lisbon after our boys went to bed.  On Friday we went to Sintra.

These lilies were growing like weeds in the garden!

Saturday we started at the Thieves’ Market and found this awesome fireman hat for a euro!

The old trams felt like they were going to fall apart and they went in the narrow streets up and down crazy steep hills.  It was like a roller coaster.  My favorite was when I got on the tram driver said, “I’m not leaving until this lady has a seat!”  Getting some pregnant perks.

Then we went to Belem to see the sights!

We loved the Jeronimos Monastery it was amazingly ornate.IMG_0931IMG_0966IMG_0990

Lisbon was a beautiful city!  It was nice to have the conference to pull us there and awesome friends to watch our kids!
